IGC 2015, Vilnius

34th International Gemmological Conference

At a glance

We are happy to welcome you in Vilnius for IGC 2015, 34th International Gemmological Conference. For the first time, it is held in Eastern Europe, our Baltic Amber land – Lithuania – one of the 10 TOP worldwide destinations to be visited in year 2015, as stated by Lonely Planet. Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, is proud to be a hosting city for this important event which will be attended by the significant international gemmological community.

As of 1 January 2015, Lithuania is the newest member of the eurozone, the final step in its journey from reluctant Soviet republic to fully fledged European nation. And why to visit? The Curonian Spit is one long line of gorgeous beaches, backed by Europe’s largest moving sand dunes and Amber Road, of course. Then there’s Vilnius’ baroque old town, which earned Lithuania one of its entries on the World Heritage list, as being protected by UNESCO. We have also prepared exiting tours for you with geological, historical, cultural sightseeing and social entertaining programmes. Feel the Lithuania and enjoy every moment of being there!

Attendance to this Conference is by invitation only that would be determined where necessary by the Conference Secretary (Convenor) and the Executive Committee. Any invitation is specific to the person invited and is not transferable.
